Recently Kate Gosselin has confirmed rumors that she is ready to date again after her long divorce battle with her estranged husband Jon. But according to recent Internet buzz she has her sights set on the “engaged” (yes, that is in quotations) star of last seasons The Bachelor Jake Pavelka. Both are contestants on this seasons popular ABC show Dancing with the Stars (DWTS) as competing dancers.

Kate is well aware of Jake’s attachment to Vienna, the girl he proposed to on the final episode of the Bachelor, but isn’t concerned.

Kate’s got a big ego and an even bigger crush on Jake, and she doesn’t care who knows it. Kate is totally unfazed by the fact that Jake is engaged, and she’s making it clear that they could have a future…Kate’s never looked better, so she feels she could snare a hot guy like Jake. She all believes all is fair in love and war. Since Jake isn’t married yet, she thinks he’s fair game.

One source reported that Kate has even already asked Jake to a romantic dinner, which he politely declined. Some people have commented that Kate likes the short guys and with Jake topping out at 5 foot 8 she feels that she can look him in the eye which is key for a woman who like to call the shots.

If you are a fan of Dancing with the Stars you have likley seen Kate Gosselins performance which wasnt exactly top notch. Kate herself sat down to watch her elimination round last night and described that she saw as “somone playing the victem in a slasher film rather then a ballroom dancer”.

I’ve been told by more than one person .. that on the night of the first DWTS elimination, the expression on my face looked like something out of a horror movie,

The reality tv mom said she was glad that her children are in bed long before the show was on to save them from the terrified look in her face less they be spooked by it. Lucky for Kate, her fans saved her from elimination and actress Shannon Doherty were kicked off the show by americas votes.

This all despite reports that tensions are high between Kate and her professional dancing partner Tony Dovolani. Rehersal footage was shown with Kate throwing a bit of a tantrum while practicing. Tony at one point threatened to quit at one point complaining that she often takes 90-minute breaks from practice to get manicures and pedicures. Not exactly highest priority when yo are tying to win a reality tv contest!

Despite all of this Kate is well aware that she is the one dragging down the team:

Tony is a marvelous teacher. The problem is the student! And since I’ve never had a stitch of dance training prior to this occasion, I indeed look like a beginner. This I know!

Kate Gosselin is Actually Nice on DWTC?

There has been alot of “expected” rumors that on the set of Dancing with the Stars Kate Gosselin would become a total diva but sources close to the who have been pleasently surprised not to bt the case. Staffers were initially skeptical but has proven everyone wrong. Despite her busy schedual which includes rehearsals at home and tapings in LA she is a good mom too.

Her one complaint? As usual “the media is really bad” was her reply.

Apparently Jon Gosselin has checked his ego at the door and says he will vote for his wife Kate on Dancing with the Stars. Hes let everyone know on his twitter account on March 4th. Its nice to see that there can be at least a little bit of non-hate between them despite all that has happened in the past. He also posted today that he is looking forward to a “New Beginning” in 2010. Did nobody tell him he is about 3 and a half months too late?

The final contestants are: Olympic Gold Medalist Evan Lysacek, singer Nicole Scherzinger, sportscaster Erin Andrews, football player Chad Ochocinco and actors Shannon Doherty, Aiden Turner and Niecy Nash from the Bachelor.

Executive producer Conrad Green was quoted as saying that “Pound for pound, it should be really fascinating watching.” Never mind the poor grammar, you can tell that they are as usual just going for rating this time as he was also quoted as saying that the selection was “Part Hope, Part Luck, Part Skill and Part Research.” The staff has been courting many of the contestants for months.

Rumor has it that Kate Gosselin will be in the next group of contestants on ABC’s Dancing with the Stats. On monday the new group of celebrity dancers will be annnounced during monday night on “The Bachelor”. Nobody has been able to confirm these reports so far but the web is a buzz with the chance that we may have Kate back with us every week shaking her groove thing. The Washington Post even carried the rumor however attributed it to an “anonymous” source. As if such an announcemnt was on par with some sort of backdoor deal going in congress.

She has expressed interest in the role ever since her appearance last year on Jay Leno’s prime time show. But some are skeptical she is capable of her ability to be diciplined enough to learn the moves that you need to compete in a show like that. Many people blow it off as hollywood fluff, but alot of time and practice is required in order to move beyond the first couple days of the competition.

Many have been expecting her to make more appearances on TV now that the future of her show, John and Kate plus eight is in jeopardy. I for one give her my support, she has been the one with her head held high over the last few months and I’m sure the kids would be excited to see her dancing with the stars!
